While their name suggests primary use in road construction, their applications extend far beyond. To select the right machine for soil, asphalt, or other materials in your project, understanding the full scope of roller applications is crucial.
Road construction and highway paving represent their most visible and common uses. Rollers are indispensable in constructing robust, level, and durable road networks. They compact subgrades and aggregate base layers to form solid foundations that prevent future settlement and cracking. Simultaneously, they perform the final compaction of asphalt pavements—a process utilizing different rollers (pre-compaction, re-compaction, and final compaction) to achieve optimal density and smoothness, ensuring safety and resistance to traffic wear.
